A great book for  teenagers                 
                     This  book is definitely a book that should be in the hands of every young girl today.  This book has personally helped me to deal with issues that affected me while I  was growing up. Giving God's perspective on me as a person, I learned that I was  created purposely and that nothing about me was a mistake.  All the things I  have gone through were allowed so that God's will could go forward and to give  him the honor for working.  This book is definitely a book  that should be in the hands of every young girl today. This book has personally  helped me to deal with issues that affected me while I was growing up. Giving  God's perspective on me as a person, I learned that I was created purposely and  that nothing about me was a mistake.  All the things I have gone through were allowed so that God's will could go forward and to give him the honor for  working through my life.  It was immensely helpful to see the common issues of dating and sex from a biblical viewpoint to see a guide to how to handle these situations in a godly manner, allowing me the freedom to enjoy my life to the fullest and enjoy the joy God brings into His children's lives.  I hope that everyone would read this book and learn more about the awesome person God has created each and every one of us to be. Mrs Jewel, I LOOOOVE The Chicken is out The Coop....the way you explain and revert it back to spiritual teaching is on point. My fav part of the book is the many talks of the eagle. and then you have reflections at the end of each chapter. ...This  is I think the best spiritual book Ive read and Ive read a few. Good Morning!!!!
I finished reading the last book yesterday.  They both are excellent!!  Gave me lots to think and ponder on as I read, as well as afterward.  Now that I have finished Living Our Theology, I want to use it as a devotional and read the sections a day at a time.  This way I will go back and pick up what I might of not gotten the first time through.  Please keep writing and preaching God's Word.  You are a blessing to me and I am sure to many others.  God Bless You!!!! - Betty McCombs (July 17, 2014 - Living our Theology & I Soar: The Chicken is out of the Coop!)

Hello pastor Jewel, Once again, thank you for your book. This book has some good meat in it for your life. I have learned that I am in transition from being the submissive chicken to a soaring eagle. My eyes have also been opened to others who are in the coop who maybe one day I will be able to share the goodness of God with them making them aware that God has so much more in store for us than ground dwelling, or even sharing this book with them. I've seen myself eat what I was fed in the pass not knowing any better along with other coop mentalities. "from blending in to standing alone": Fitting in was something that I tried to do all of my life, it never worked and was stressful and discouraging. Only as of this year that God has been separating me from trying to lean on people for support to leaning on him only. One of the things that I received for my life was on page 114, "I need you to understand that you can accomplish whatever I set before you". That is powerful. it leads me to dig deeper into myself to focus on what God wants me to do. The book helps me to realize that the the eagle mentality is what I need to strive for more, no matter what situation I am in. Waiting faithfully for the right gust of wind. I really enjoyed this book, and it was just what I needed at the right time! I love how she tied the scriptures and lessons in each chapter with her modern day experiences, so that we could relate completely! It was well-written, and the message was well received.
